CWDP Exam passed!

Here are some memories about the exam, and some personal views that might encourage me later or someone else.

It was April 2021, and I was very anxious about the fact I bought the Wireless Kitchen Kit from CWNP, it included study material, Web self-paced training and the vouchers for the exams CWNA, CWDP, CWAP, and CWSP it was almost two years ago and they were going to expire on June.

I decided to start with the Design exam as I had clear memories from my Ekahau Design training, and I felt more connected with the curriculum topics. Once I decided on the CWDP Exam, I booked the proctored exam and gave myself 20 days to study. I set the exam on a Friday at 4:00 a.m., my house study is an open space; I didn’t want my kids appearing on the video and making it void; if someone appears while you are taking the exam your exam is automatically void. I remind them that several days before the exam.

The exam day arrived, on April 29th 2021, I logged into the website, filled out the form, took the photos requested to my place and ID and waited for a while for the assessor. Once she called me into the app, she asked me to activate my camera, and check my desk and around my place. Finally, she said, I am releasing the exam now… I thought that should be it, and it didn’t. She didn’t send me to the exam but to the registration form! I had already registered my details, took the pictures and all that stuff. What to do? Registering again might take 10 minutes, and then what? Wait for another assessor while my exam time was counting down? No way!

I decided to wait, crossed my fingers and waited for five minutes or so, the assessor was not sure how – maybe my boring face and hands up made her think something was wrong -, she realized the issue, and the registering form was deactivated and I was sent to my exam. The good stuff was to see the exam clock restarted and I had all the time granted back.

Most of the questions were very easy, I thought I might score a humble 95% and once I finished and clicked the button, a nice message appeared “Congratulations! You have passed” I had 52 from 60. I was expecting a higher score, 87% is still good enough. I had a full weekend to rest, and my next task is on Saturday morning guess what I did? I was so excited about passing my exam that I booked my next exam, CWAP, on May 13th.
