CWNA EXAM PASSED

I bought the CWNP Kitchen training kit about 18 months ago, I did study the curriculum a couple of times, but I never worried about taking the exam as I would have the infinite number of two years granted for taking the included exams.

The time flies! On top of that the exam version changed too. It was announced months ago that the new version of CWNA-108 would take over in January 2021, and I left until the last available month in December to take my CWNA-107 exam.

I almost got crazy trying to book the exam on December 20th. I followed the procedure on the Pearson Vue website, gave some clicks here and there, selected the hour, accepted the policy, pasted the voucher number and submitted; then I received the message “The selected hour is no longer available”. I tried five times that day and with the same result, I thought that it could not be, it must be a glitch or maybe an elaborate scam. How could it be possible? First, it offers a date and hour and then it says it is not available; five times was enough for me.

I created a Word document and printed my screen of every failure I received, then I sent it to support CWNP and made my point claiming for the service. I wasn’t able to take the CWNA-107 exam because of the issue I reported. They responded a couple days later, explaining several points:

1. They asked Pearson Vue about that issue, and they responded that there wasn’t any issue or glitch on their site. They did have a lot of requests for that exam and what happened was that someone was faster and booked the exam before I gave the submit button.

2. I was offered to update my VOUCHER to CWNA-108 for the remaining months I had.

I had already studied for the exam, and I didn’t want to update with new study material. I insisted on booking the exam on the website, and every time I received the same message “The hour is no longer available”. I printed the screen every time I received that message. I was tired of that, I thought that maybe PearsonVue’s response was not completely accurate, as I tried more than 26 times. I was ready to quit and I just tried 5 times more; this time I used an external mouse in my laptop, and I could be maybe a second faster. And it happened, I finally booked successfully the CWNA-107 proctored exam! I  picked the first hour I saw available on December 29th at 5:30AM.

As usual, I didn’t test the Pearson Vue software as I thought that it would be a simple and easy task. I woke up at 4:00 AM, did a few things and started the testing of that software. I had to uninstall Cisco Webex, AnyDesk, and Zoom. I had to restart my PC as it was detecting Zoom even after I uninstalled it. Then, I had to wait for a Windows update. After that, the Pearson Vue software test passed OK. It is requested to check in the exam with 30 minutes of anticipation. I finished the check-in process at 5:25 AM! Every little step took a bit of time.

After 80 minutes of responding to questions, the CONGRATULATIONS page came up.

 TAKEAWAYS:

1. Book your exam first, then study

2. Test the Pearson Vue software, you don’t know what you will have to uninstall.

3. Don’t leave key steps to the last minute.
